Milky Way from Monroe, CT
I have done a lot of complaining about weather, limited field of views, and dealing with a light polluted sky. I was imaging M6, M7, and M22 from my alternate location as none of these are visible from my yard. The location is cemetery and an open field that was a former private airstrip.
After imaging I saw a faint Milky Way here in southern CT so I decided to take a 60 sec image of it. Cherry Springs, this is not. After heavy processing I was able to bring it out more. The heaviest light pollution is to the south. That happens to to be where New Haven, Bridgeport, Stamford, NYC and all all the other cities and towns are located.
I piggy backed my camera with an Opteka 6.5mm Fisheye lens to take the shot.
